Fostering/Rehabilitation

Seeing as I'm about to finish highschool, I really need to think about what I want to get into. Something I've always loved the thought of doing was fostering orphaned baby animals, or rehabilitating them, I adored watching Animal Planet and watching the people who would care for the orphaned wild, baby animals. I really want to do something like that, I really want to work with wild animals in some way. When I think about it, though, a lot of the times these are volunteer type jobs, I don't know if I could make a living off doing so, or even how to get into doing so... so I figured I'd see what advice the wise members of CF might have for me.(:

Not all of these people involved with wildlife rehabilitation are volunteers, but have had advanced education in animal behaviour, and many other courses. Some have taken vet technician courses.

Here's a site to get you started in your search:

Wildlife Rehabilitation Jobs: Options and Requirements

The more education and experience you have in your field of study, usually will the wages be higher.
