outdoor to indoor

I'm moving this weekend and am taking a cat with me. She's not a completely outdoor cat, she comes in fairly often, but I'm wondering if there is anything I should do to help her get used to being inside permenantly (landlord says only indoor cats are allowed) and to help her adjust to a new place. She's never been through a move before. Also, I wonder if it's a problem that she'll be an only cat now? She's used to living with a couple of others but they don't seem too attached to one another and fight sometimes. I don't know how she'll react to any of it.
I've also decided it's time for her to lose weight, but how long should I let her get adjusted before I start the new regime?

Flower essences can be very helpful; a combination of Rescue Remedy, Elm, and Walnut is great for moving, as well as for helping to transition an outdoor cat to indoors (you can also add Wild Rose for that). You can find other tips at:
