A milestone

I wanted to let you know the latest about Blackie the cat that tested FeLV + ..this morning my husband, Bill and I went to pick him up and brought him back.
Blackie now is neutered, vaccinated, wears a collar with ID tag, Bill wants to get a halter and leash to walk him out..we'll provide that and food, litter, catbed, etc we're so happy he will care for the cat.
Since Bill lives next to where my other ferals are I'll check on him often or my husband will. We told him what to look for and to tell us if Blackie appears sick. Both cat and owner are happy with each other and I feel immensily rewarded, my husband too. Even if this cat wasn't an authentical feral, he almost lived like one, fighting, being infected and generating real ferals..too late to change part of that but much has been accomplished. Don't you think it's a fantastic beginning on our caregiver project

It sounds like both a happy ending and a good beginning!

That's wonderful! I really like reading your stories, and others who are helping ferals and strays. You have big hearts.
