Scotty went to the vet

I took Scotty to the vet for his free checkup, courtesy of the humane society. The vet said that he's going to be a big boy (though, he didn't say HOW big!).

He weighed in at 6.6lbs, and the guesstimate of age according to his bits' size and teeth is somewhere between 5-7 months, though the vet believes he's closer to 7.

He gave me a pill for deworming, since Scotty had been a stray. He also clipped his claws (even though I had snipped the tips of his front claws the day before, hrmph).

All in all, Scotty is one healthy little guy. I'm so happy! At the end of the month he's going to get snipped elsewhere, ;o).

Glad Scotty got a clean bill of health. Does Scotty sleep with you? When I had my kitten Mittens "snipped" he wanted to sleep with me and touching me. I think he didnt like being separated from me. Hope it goes smoothly with Scotty's snipping!

"sleep" isn't the term I'd use. More like, tries to play when mommy tries to sleep. ;o) If he does sleep at night, it's usually right next to me, or above my head on the pillow.

I'm glad Scotty's "good to go!" Congratulations on your new little one. He's lucky to have a loving mommy now. Skeeter's a grey Tabby, too (that's what Scotty looks like) and we were also told that he's going to be a big boy. Just one look at his paws and you can tell it's true!!
