Gonna be a new mommy for a few days :)

We have two cats and five kittens up for adoption at the vet I work for. The kittens are two sets of two, and one by himself. I'm in love with the loner They named him Karlton because he came in around the time everyone was talking about hurrican Karl. I hate the name. Anyway, he's the sweetest cuddleist little thing ever.

I'll put him on the counters or floors and he really doesn't want to explore, just have me hold him so he can nuzzle under my neck and nap on me I hold him as much as I can while I'm at work. Now I don't want another cat (well... not NOW anyway) but I feel sorry for them because they're all in their cages all day and night except when someone holds them. One of the receptionist takes home a pair of kittens every now and then so they can have a break, and I was thinking of doing this with "my" kitten.

Thing is, my mom would assume I wanted to keep him and was just buttering her up, so I'm going to wait until she goes to Florida at the end of the month, or beginning of next month (can't remeber) so at that point in time, he'd be about two or three months old?

I have a dog and cat already, and will be home all weekend (no work or school, nothing to do) so I can supervise him the whole time. I'll try to work out something to do about a space just for him.

Any things you can think of that I need to do to make him happy while he's here?

Oh believe me, there's PLENTY of room in my home (and my heart) for the little guy... just not my mom's. She's already threatened to kick me out if I so much as THINK about bringing another animal home Then again... she flipped out about Addison (because I just got him and never told her about it under after) but she loves him now.

But I really don't want another cat right now. I have all the love from one that I can handle! I'll be getting more animals when I move out on my own, at least another cat to keep Addison company because I know I'll be working a lot to afford my own place.

I'm off all day today, and was going to hang out at my old job and see some people, but if I have time I'm going to stop by and see the kitten
