NO. it's a waste of money. the new cat is genetically identical, but it's still not the same cat. she even said on the air that it was "similar". I just think it's someone with too much money to burn.

No. There is already an overabundance of homeless cats in the world. Why clone one when you can go to the shelter and save a life??

(Besides, I don't agree with the concept of cloning).

If I really wanted to drop $50,000 on a cat, I'd pay the adoption fees at the shelter and then donate the $49,900 or whatever is left to the homeless cats.

Another Gaylord?

Just kidding....but no, I wouldn't do it. It wouldn't be the same, and what a waste, sheesh! I don't care how much money I had.....I only get my pets from the shelter, period!

Each cat has something unique to offer. The cloned cat will have something unique to offer as well. Unfortunately, that kind of defeats the point for someone who wants their cat back. The new kitty will be compared to the old kitty the rest of its life even if it's not intentional.

It's kind of a very expensive version of "I love my cat so much, she's just so perfect, I just have to breed her once so that I can have a part of her with me (and then breed that one, and that one, etc)." So, well, at least it's only one cat being brought into the world instead of a whole litter...

No, because the cat will not have the same personalities.
