about my vet

I only talked to the vet technition. It is amazing. Every time i go to the vet, he is "on vacation" or "off work today". i think i am going somewhere else. unfortunately, the next closest vet is about 45 minutes away. but, whatever it takes to keep them all healthy.

some vet techs are happy and willing to provide useful information. if you do choose to go to a vet that far away, maybe you still want to maintain a relationship with the local vet, in case you need help fast.

I agree that you may want to keep some friendly relationship to your current vet. Well... vet's office anyway.

I know what you mean though. When I first adopted my cat, he was in the vet a few times. First an exam, shots, ear mite treatment. Second because of a reaction to the shots. Third for something else... don't remember. In those three times, I never ONCE saw a vet. I thought this was normal. Silly me.

Where I work, the doctors go into EVERY room for EVERY client unless its something like a nail trim or bath. They do an exam on every animal they vaccinate. They give the shots themselves in front of the owners. Make sure they have all their questions answered and are happy when they leave. I never knew this is how a vet's office should be run.

If you aren't happy (and I don't blame you) please find another vet. Why should you pay for medical care for your animal if you're not getting your money's worth? Technicians can be very helpful and informative... but they're NOT doctors. You're paying to see a doctor and there's no good reason not to see one every visit. Good luck finding someone as good as you deserve

Hey Morganlefay your name caught my eye. I had a cat named Morganlefey, of course after the character Morgan LeFey(King Arthur's half sister) in the book Arthur Rex.
