are your cats hyper tonight?

I don't know why -- all three of my cats are unusually wild and crazy tonight. It's nowhere near a full moon! Are your cats acting up tonight? (Thurs Jan 13)

Yes they are. Thought primarily is was because of being cooped up all day because of the rain.

Assumpta has been fidgety all day, but that's not too unusual when the barometric pressure drops as fast as it did this afternoon. Once it bottoms out, she'll crash and sleep for hours.

Hmm, strange. My 2 never exhibit strange behaviors. I remember someone started a post about the tsunami and cat behaviors and I never noticed a change. They act the same 24/7 no matter the day, time, weather....

From the other side of the Atlantic: nope.

I do however think that cats, like some humans, react to weather. I know that Sam and Suzy gets very lazy when it's a low pressure and it's raining. Then when the sun comes out they take all that cooped up energy and act it out, so it feels like they've gone crazy.

Maybe it's a weather thing?

My kitties are doing the exact opposite....usually they're running and romping, but a storm front came through today and Jinx is piled up in the middle of my bed asleep and Mojo is curled up in my lap! Rainy days make everyone in the house lazy!
