I'm proud of my hunting Scotty!
Over the weekend, Scotty and I spent the night at Brandon's. Well, I grew up in the city, but far enough away from busy roads that noises scare me in the middle of the night. It sounded like someone was walking near the back of Brandon's apartment (he's in a first floor, one bedroom apartment, and the bedroom is in the back and there's a door that leads to a small patio). Well, Brandon couldn't see anyone shadows passing by the window (where the sound was coming from) but Scotty was reacting to it.
He got really quiet...he hunkered down into his "pouncing pose" and waited for the sound. When it started again, he started pawing at the baseboard and was meowing as if he wanted something and couldn't get it.
Realizing that Brandon probably has a small animal or even mice under his apartment (it was a quiet scratching kind of sound), I was able to fall back asleep, feeling so proud that Scotty DOES have good hunting skills.
