What Time Does Kitty Wake You Up?

Binx and Skeeter's internal clock always has them up at almost exactly 6:00 every morning. We usually feed them breakfast then, lock them out of the bedroom and go back to sleep.

I was just wondering if you all have "living alarm clocks" as well! What time do your furbabies wake you up?

Around 7:00, sometimes a bit later. I've made it a rule that she is not getting anything before 7:00.

about 5 minutes before the alarm goes off at 5:30. Problem is they don't seem to understand that we can sleep in on Sat. and Sun. Oh well. Need to get up anyway. I will make coffee and go back to bed and they all come in and curl up around me and we do our weekly brush and massage.

Around 5 - 5:30 here too . I think Ginger's cued by the garbage trucks. If I feed him I'm allowed to go back to bed .

What time does he wake you?

When we first had him, it was about 5.00 am
But he soon learned that we *will not* get up that early, even if he is clawing our feet under the duvet. So now its usually just before the alarm clock at 6.30 am
Like Lynda, I wish he would learn about weekend lie-ins Although occasionally he likes a little lie-in himself, if he's had a particularly busy day!

Kahlua use to wake me up soooooooooo early! like anywhere from 5-6 AM but what has solved that problem is that she has a decent snack meal at about 4 pm, and then a BIG meal around 10:30pm... and that holds her over till about 8 am ... which works out good because I feed right before i leave for school, and then when my mom gets home at 4 she has her snack and then around bed time its her dinner

Looks like most of our cats get up at the same time. The earliest for my Siamese was 4-4:30am. So for her I would give her a snack before I go to bed. Otherwise for me getting up at 5:30am or 6am is not a problem. I'm a morning person.

i just leave food out all the time and they don't bug me. plus, when i lived at home, i kept my bedroom door closed at night and lilly wasn't allowed in ANY of the bedrooms or the office and she knew it. even if you picked her up and brought her into one of the bedrooms, she would wriggle away from you and run out the door back into the living room. we have one of those dry food dispensers, where you fill a big resivoir and it falls into a bowl at the bottom, and as she eats, more falls down. i only have to fill it like once a week and she's happy. and since she absolutely refuses to eat canned food or table scraps, even though we offer it, i don't have to worry about that.
