Awww sweet cuddly kitten!!!

So today at work someone dropped off a bunch of 8 week old kittens (we regularly re-home pets people no longer want etc so this wasn't unusual) All but one boy was immediatly taken by my co-workers. The one boy left looks like he will be a flame point medium hair with deep blue eyes. Right now he is all white with just a hint of 'flame' coloring on his tail. And boy what a tail! Its the longest tail on a cat ive ever seen! He is the runt of the litter, so of course I fell in love with him and brought him home. Patrick was....less than enthused. He insists I rehome the kitten asap.

The kitten was raised with dogs, children, and many many cats and is pretty much fearless, he's also a lap kitty. He eagerly touched noses with Patricks parents' 65lb Black Lab. He is potty trained and weaned and darn adorable. But very very small, he looks to be only 5 weeks because he is the runt. Oh yeah and he has HUGE ears LOL! He sat quietly for nail trimming, is playful but not in the hyper "I'm a kitten i'm spastic watch me go!!!!" way. He does well in the car, grooms himself well, and is all around the perfect cat in my opinion.

I realllly don't want to have to give him a home with some random person, in fact I refuse. So ....anyone near Reno, Nevada interested in the perfect kitten? Must have digital camera to post many many pics of him growing up etc. (I would show pics of him but I can't find my digital camera GRRRRR)

I have named him Zen Habit(Zen for short) since he is the most well-blanced kitten i've ever seen. He is a lap kitty, he tolerates car rides, he is adorable, he is litterbox trained, he is outgoing with kids, dogs, people, and cats(he tried to jump out of my arms to greet Envy, she took one look at him and hissed, he didn't even cringe, just kept trying to get to her).

Grrrr, wish I lived close enough But I'm 6 to 7 hours away. Maybe the "rehoming" will take just long enough to make Patrick fall in love - and give in!

I wish, he seems pretty against it because of the cats medium length furr. As far as I can tell the kitten most resembles a flame point ragdoll. I found a pic on the web that really looks like him:

Ooooh, how pretty - I was just thinking, the personality might grow on him enough that he forgets his bias - either way, I wish you the best in finding a permanent home.

I've decided to change his name, its now Arson. For several reasons, one being he is a 'flame' point, two Zen just seemed wrong, and three, now I have Arson Chaos Envy....A.C.E. giggle.

Awwwwww how adorable! I'd sooo keep the lil fella if it was me - although I know DylansDaddy would kill me for it lol

Maybe He'll get used to the idea if you can't find another home quick

This kitten...is crazy lol. We have him in our second bathroom, so far Chaos is scared of him but curious, Envy is putting up a mean front and hissing at him, but runs away if he gets close. This morning I went to take a shower in the second bathroom, I greeted the kitten, held him, cuddled him and set his wet food down. When he was happily eating I got in the shower. About five minutes into the shower he starts meowing like mad, so I open the door to check on him. In he jumps, right into the shower with me, and starts rubbing against my leg and jumping up on it like he does when he wants to be picked up. He took absolutely no notice of the fact he was drenched and there was water pouring down on him. Even Envy our Bengal will only put her paws in water, LOL crazy kitten!!

Tell Patrick that having longer hair DOES NOT mean more shedding if that is what he's worried about. We have what we think are two Maine Coon's and a couple of other DMH's. We hardly ever see long hair shedded, but the short hairs are everywhere. Keep the kitten, Keep the kitten!!!
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Sigh, one of the girls at my work decided to take him. I am happy for her and the kitten that he is getting a good home but already I miss him. He was awesome.

The only good part about all this is the breeder I have been in contact with about getting my queen let me know today that successful mating has taken place between the (hopefully) parents of my new baby girl. I am going to go visit the cattery soon to make my final decision on whether or not I will go with this breeder for sure.
