Aquarium cat ....

Ginger cat - felinus gingercattus

This unusual aquarium specimen enjoys cramped quarters in a dry, uncovered aquarium with ~1 inch of gravel on the bottom.

The weather has gotten unseasonably warm recently, so Ginger has re-discovered 'his' aquarium. He spends a fair amount of his time in there during the summer

Awww! Silly kitty! He is too cute all cuddled up in his aquarium. Heehee.
But, wait...one questions: what became of all the fish?

I hope they brought the tank in advance to be populated later.

This is a 'spare' aquarium that I havn't gotten around to setting up again, partially because Ginger claimed it. In the top picture to the right you can see part of one of the working aquariums. Above 'Gingers' aquarium is another, larger aquarium, also waiting to be set up again, and to the left there are another 2 working aquariums. This is the fresh-water corner. In the opposite corner I have a 4.5 x 2 x 2 foot reef aquarium that Ginger enjoys sleeping on top of when it's cold.

Ginger wouldn't sleep in a litter box! Besides, the gravel isn't deep enough.

that is SOOO Adorable!

I'm about to set up a 10 gal freshwater tank at home to keep my Kilala busy watching fish. Any advice to make it cat safe?

I know i'm stocking it with cories, cardinal tetras, ghost shrimp and maybe some fancy tail guppies.

Either make sure Kilala can't get on top of the aquarium, or make the top of the aquarium strong enough to bear Kilalas weight.
Also make sure the aquarium + stand is stable and won't be tipped over by Kilala jumping on or off.

Ginger got bored with the fish after they stopped reacting to him patting at the side - 'If I can't get at them, and they ignore me, what fun are they?'

Fantastic discovery!! I've only seen the cousin to this species, the felinus-next-to-aquarium.

What a pretty kitty.
