Scully has a new trick!

So we bought a new filing cabinet for my boyfriends business papers and my boyfriend goes to stamp on the box to flatten it to make it easier to bundle up for the recycling box and on his 2nd stomp he just stops in time as Scully slips in the opening and sits himself down in it.

We had to go out so just left him sleeping in it and hes still there when we get in... 5 mins later we hear this strange rustling sound... Scully was pushing up the flattened piece at the bottom of the box (he did quite a good job - but then hes a huge cat and its not that sturdy of a box!

Once fixed he lays back down to go asleep, still unimpressed that my bf ruined his new bed!

I read in a book that it's the cat's way of showing he trusts us when he doesn't get out of the way of our feet. Pretty scary. If I was in a room full of elephants, I'd certainly get out of the way of THEIR feet. I keep worrying I might step on or trip over a cat and hurt them. There have been a tail and a couple of paws stepped on already. Good thing I wear soft-soled moccasins around the house.

i've stepped on Squee a few times. i'll be in the kitchen cooking or washing dishes, i take a step, and there's Squee! or i'll be walking through the house, and squee goes tearing through, right between/under my feet as i'm taking a step, i've both stepped on him, and almost fallen down.
