There's one out there (forget name brand) that hooks into your plumbing system and automatically flushes the litter away. THAT's the litterbox that I want.

It's called Litterfree....but a quick websearch leads me to believe they aren't in business anymore or available anywhere.

The Litterfree is no longer being manufactured and the company that produced it has gone out of business. The Litterfree cost over $200 for the base unit, and used a combination of plastic pellets and a proprietary cleaning liquid instead of normal cat litter. An electric timer allowed for up to three scheduled cleanings a day. In the cleaning cycle, cold water mixed with the solution which was then circulated through a small propeller. The nasty liquified contents then were siphoned out through a hose connected to our laundry drain.
What a pity it seemed like such a good idea

The Purrforma litterbox, the one that timskitties linked to, is the litterbox that was pulled from Petsmart and Petco shelves last fall due to too many returns on malfunctioning litterboxes (The company didn't issue a recall, it was a decision made by the pet stores).

I've recently seen these again at Petco, but not at Petsmart. If anyone is thinking about buying one of these...I'd do a lot of research first. Just check out the litterbox-central forum for more info.
