CAT WRESTLEMANIA

We've had our second kitten for about 3 weeks now. The two cats still fight quite a bit. Will this die down, or are they just playing?

Thanks

Are they both kittens? If so, its probably just play.

Is there a lot of hissing/hair raising when they're near each other? They may still need time to fully adjust, keeping an eye on them is best. Cat bites can get nasty and infected... even if they were just done in play.

It really should get better as they adjust to each other... even if they don't love each other they should at least learn to live with one another.

fighting

Actually, only one is a kitten, and the older one is about 3 years old. There is a lot of hissing, and they like to jump on each other. Hopefully it does get better. They are still stealing each other's food too.

Maybe you should separate them when they are eating or schedule different feeding times?

My kitten sisters did this for a while they soon grew out of it, it seems like just yesterday they grow up so fast!

I have intro'ed new cats a few times in my household and found that sometimes it can take them several months to adjust to each other. Just be patient and remember, no blood no foul. They need to work out their dominance issues.
