Smelling like a dog ready for a bath!?

Last Thursday and Friday, Vequi caught an odd smell. In seven months, it was the first time her smell made me think about the possibility of giving her a bath. But by Friday night the smell was gone.

Has anyone seen this with your cat(s)? Did she neglect her grooming for a couple of days and then caught up? Is this normal during the hot months? Lately it's been between upper 80's and lower 90's °F where I live.

It never happened to my cats. Usually, they don't roll in things that don't smell good (as a dog sometimes does.) Maybe she fell into something that didn't smell good. I assume the odor is not like a skunk, is it? You'd recognize that, I'm sure!

Oh no, it was tolerable. It's just that it was the first time she ever smelled, that I was shocked.

mine will "start to smell" also......especially if they lay in the sun all day or they do a lot of playing! Luckally mine don't seem to mind baths at all! Good luck if you do give a bath!!!!
