What's the highest you've seen your cat jump?

The highest I've seen mine jump is to a windowsill 3'8" off the ground.

I once found a lamp knocked off of a chest that's 4 ft 6 in high, and the only possible way for a cat to get up there is to jump straight up. But I didn't actually SEE it happen, so I guess it doesn't count.

And it only happened once, so I'm still mystified.

I once seen Boomer jump to catch a fly and bang his head off the ceiling... so 8ft high, but he could probably jump higher if the ceiling wasn't in his way

In the summer when the junebugs are flying around outside the patio door I've seen Barnaby jump to 6 feet trying to reach one.

We have a six-foot cat tree -- I've seen Nico jump all the way to the top before. The other two are a little too large to jump that high.

Is the grey cat a Russian Blue?

To the OP...Shadow likes to jump at my fingers when I wiggle them against a wall. He does 5 to 6 foot jumps on a regular basis.

I think cats can jump pretty high.

robertr4836,

Barnaby isn't a true Russian Blue. He may have some in his blood but who really knows. He has very subtle tabby markings that you can see in certain light.
