What can I expect right after neutering?

I'll be picking up my 6 month old male kitten tomorrow from the vet--I had him neautered today. My question is--what can I expect him to be like now that he's been neutered?
Will I notice an immediate change in his personality?
Will he be in pain still from the surgery?
Is there anything I can do to make him more comfortable as he recovers?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

The Original Male Kitten.

Out of my 3 males I only had one prior to the neutering. Teh other two were neutered before I had them. When I picked Zack up he was fine. He didn't seem to be in any pain. The only change I noticed with his personality was that he calmed down a bit.

Baily walked funny for a day, other than that he was normal.

I'd sleep with one eye open though

If you can't spoil a pet, there is no use in having one.

I had my two males neutered a couple of months ago. there was no change whatsoever in their personalities. I was able to pick mine up the same day, why does your cat have to stay overnight?

I picked my cat up the same day and he was fine. He was a few years old, so I was a little concerned it would be worse for him, but he did great. He didn't act like anything was different. If it wasn't for the big section of missing fur on his belly then it would have been hard to tell anything had happend to him.
