Hi all! Well, we trapped 2 of the kittens (the 2 black ones), but couldn't get little Caramel. So, the 2 we got took a trip to the vet this morning. Both tested neg. for FIV/Leukemia!!! Both had hookworms and roundworms, but they got dewormed, so all is well. And both were old enough (their at 9 weeks) to get their U. Resp. shot. Oh yes, and both are female.
Then, the vet told me just to take them home, release them back with their momma (Shiela) and to call him again in about a week and he'll make some calls b/c he thinks he might know some folks who would adopt these babies.
This is the first good news we've had in a while. One of my classmates was supposed to adopt Caramel, but he backed out at the VERY LAST MINUTE!
So, maybe Dr. Morgan (the vet) will find these kids the break they need.
I released Eclipse and Little Tux back with momma and they were all so happy to see each other. This has been so heartbreaking for me. I know I'm going to miss them once they are gone. But, I'm trying to do all that I can to help this family.
We need some good vibes sent our way for some good luck and good news next week from Dr. Morgan! Please keep these little ones in your thoughts.
