fleas and ticks! HELP!

my 2 boys are on Revolution, so they are fine! here's the brief story of our current living situation. we're in a house with my MIL (yes, the same one that we rescued our Devon Rex from...he had been in the basement for 6 years....) we're up on the 3rd floor with our 2 cats, they never get to leave the 3rd floor (strictly indoor cats, again, on Revolution) MIL has a dog who I'm pretty sure doesn't get any flea treaments. My husband and I have been getting bit and recently saw the fleas and ticks! How can we get rid of them?! (I'm asthmatic too...so bug bombing doesn't sound like a good option!) I've checked the boys to make sure the revolution is working, and it is! they are bug free! I've got to get back to scratching all my bites now! Thanks!

The Revolution is good stuff!

Can you put some treatment on the dog?

we can't afford the doses for the dog.......and my MIL (when we brought the idea up to her) huffed that she'll do something......I'm guessing the cheapest flea collar that she can find! but that will still leave fleas and ticks in the house biting me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel so nasty having them here!!!!! (all of my pets have always been on Revolution, so I've never had to deal with this!!!! PREVENTION!!!)
