Leaving Oliver alone....

In a few weeks I have to go to an out of state wedding. I'll be gone for a good THREE days. If I give Oliver enough food and water and leave a TV or radio on for him do you think he'll be okay for those three days? Let me know your thoughts and opinions. Thanks!!

I have left my kittys alone for a weekend with extra litter boxes and things were fine (2 nights & 2 days). Can you get a friend to stop by and just check on them?

I agree. He'll be fine, but OI would probably just get someone to pop in once a day to check that all is well and he hasn't gotten himself into any mischief!

Ugh!

I think the only bad part of your idea is making Oliver watch TV for three solid days and nights!

If you're going to force him to watch that many late-night info-mercials, you should at least leave your credit card for him...

I have left mine alone on occasion for 3 days. They have been fine ---- if you consider knocking over every wastebasket, dragging out items from closets they've managed to open, every cat toy in the house in the middle of the living room floor And then looking at me in that innocent way However, I try to have someone come in to "look things over" on the second day[/b]

When I lived alone with Zoee I left her alone for 2 or 3 days at a time and everything was fine. Now I just feel better if someone can check in on them if I am gone for more than a day.

I wouldn't worry, he should be fine, but I would consider getting someone to check in on him.

Thanks guys but I don't have anyone to check on him....that's why I'm wondering if he'll be okay with no human around for three days.....

I have left mine for long weekends before and they have always been fine. The only thing I do though is to leave a tap dripping just in case they run out of water, or spill their water etc.

I think he should be fine. I would maybe leave a radio on.

I have left mine alone for a couple of days, they should be fine. I'd suggest using a timed feeder though rather than just loads of food in their bowl.
