Leaving Addison for the weekend... feeling guilty!

I'm FINALLY going out of town! I haven't been anywhere in a very long time. Definately well over a year. This is the first time I'm taking a day off work (actually, we're closed all of the days I want off, just making sure I don't get scheduled kennel duty!).

I'll be going to Hilton Head for Memorial Day. We're only going to be gone Sunday morning to Monday night but there's a slight chance we'll leave Saturday night. He'll be home with the dog and my brother and the guy that lives with us. They've both said they'll feed them while we're gone but I feel so guilty!

He's never been without me. I haven't so much as spent a night away from home since I got him over a year ago. He's not a clingy cat, but tends to walk around crying when he can't find someone to pay attention to him. I was afraid my brother would refuse to take care of him and I'd have to board him at work, but that's a last resort. I think he'd be much happier at home.

I just can't help but feel really guilty. First, I bring home two kittens that have been taking up a lot of my time - and I know he's getting majorly jealous. And now I'll be leaving him for the weekend. I know he'll be safe and fine and will get over it once I'm home... but still.

Any ways I can make him not so lonely while I'm gone?

Jessie
