I lost my cat on Thursday night while taking out the trash (I think). I put up posters etc and no sign of him. I was walking past the local Cat clinic today and there he was inside!!! Somebody had just taken him in there. I know have him home again. Weird thing is he shows no signs of recognizing me and is hostile and runs away from me. Do cats forget you that quickly??

Glad you found him! He is proably acting that way around him because he has been through an ordeal. Give him some time...he'll eventually warm up to you again. He hasn't forgotten who you are.

I'm sure Heather is right. He is stressed. I feel certain he'll be himself, given a bit of time.
