Clorox Toilet Bowl cleaner and Litterbox

Three weeks ago, I cleaned Vequi's litterbox, but instead of the traditional dish soap cleaning, I used Clorox Toilet Bowl cleaner with Tefflon. Well, today it was time to clean the litterbox again, and it was the fastest easiest experience of litterbox cleaning so far. I repeated the toilet bowl cleaner treatment, and I guess I'm going to keep doing it. It was when the least litter was stuck in the pan so far.

Hope this is not a repost. Just wanted to share something that has made my life easier while Vequi doesn't seem to mind; she uses her litterbox as usual.

That's cool -- Teflon is great for everything! I've been using Pam cooking spray to keep the litter from sticking. It also works wonders!

That sounds like a great idea. Velvet tends to dig way to the bottom of the litterbox, and always in the same spot. So there is always litter stuck to the bottom, and always in the exact same spot.
Thanks for the tip!

Lori, you can probably clarify this. I always thought that toilet bowl cleaner was extremely caustic. It sounds like a great idea if it's safe!

I use toilet cleaner or a thick bleach. Learned that trick from cleaning at a shelter. Gets the boxes bleachy clean without the horrible smell! I also sprinkle a layer of baking soda on the bottom of the boxes... three cats and no smell!

Is it really not dangerous? I suppose you'd just have to rinse really well.
