Discipline Help Needed Badly!

Hi Guys,

I have two 9 week olds that I adopted last week. One is them is really behaved and responds well to us telling her a firm no and removing her when she is doing something she shouldn't be doing. The other one is a complete bugar. Telling her no, clapping, removing her etc does nothing. I have tried putting reynold's wrap around certain items she shouldn't touch etc and it doesn't work. I don't want to use a water gun because I don't want to ruin my furniture. Ny suggestions for my little bugar?

Your topic caption used the word discipline, but your post mentioned deterrents. Deterrents are the right method to use with cats. Discipline isn't. So, to answer your question: you have to do some detective work to find out what it is that your cat doesn't like. I've had the same problem with Tommy. None of the usual deterrents work with him. But I did find out that he doesn't like citrus scent. So when I want to keep him away from something, I spray it with a citrus-scented spray. Maybe your cat is the same. Keep trying!!

Bitter apple and double stick tape should also be helpful. Good luck!
