Corners over the litter box, I dont understand?

We recently adopted a kitten from the animal shelter, and we just cant seem to get her to go poo in the litter box. She will use it to go pee but not poop. We have another cat, she is about two years old, and she is the model cat Lizzy, the kitten, is about ten weeks old and she will do number one and number two in the litter box sometimes, but most of the time she will pee and then get out of the box, and go straigt to a corner, whats up with that? We have two litter boxes in the house, one for Annabelle, and one for Lizzy. Lizzys is in the bathroom where we keep her at night so that we know she is not using our blankets in the living room as toilet paper. So we have two boxes, in different rooms, so I dont think its a problem of not wanting to use the other cats toilet. She has done this numerous times, and we put her in the litter box each time after she does it, but still she does it. Keep in mind this is not an every time occurence, just most of the time. So if anyone could give us some suggestions we are very open to them. Thanks alot

I think the easiest and cheapest thing to try is a third litterbox. Put it next to the box where you've seen her peeing. Some cats just like to do #1 in one box and #2 in another.

I agree with Tim. Also I would make sure the corner is cleaned out good.

Try a small litter box so she/he has no difficulty getting in and out and put it in the spot were she's going (as said above) as she (hopefully) uses it, gradually move it toward the other box until it's next to it. If she's still using it once it's next to the regular box remove it. Also, she has normal stools right? Sometimes not going in the box can mean there's something else going on. If there's soft stool or it doesn't look right get her checked for parasites. Good luck!
