Too much routine?

How do you keep your cats from becomming bored and/or boring? Vequi still plays here and there, but it's been a long time she doesn't do anything funny - it's more of a routine playing. Any suggestions for improvising some fun stuff. Thanks.

Add a new toy or change up toys every few weeks, hide some treats around the house so she has to hunt for them...

Just a few ideas

Yes, hiding toys is a good idea. We find that if we put an old toy down so that its just peeping out from under a rug, it suddenly becomes irresistable again

You might need to do more teasing to stimulate your cat. Every toy that our cat owned involved some participation on my part. Whenever he wanted to play, he would bring his toy into our bedroom.
