I'm going away, but...

Are my cats going to be alright?
I am only going away for 2 nights/ 3days and my mother said she will come over and and feed them, But i am SO NERVOUS!
i haven't gone away and left them yet!
Miss Teenie mum is very attatched, and i am afraid she will lose it, since she always sleeps with me, and stuff. Either that, if she doesnt i am going to lose it!
I am not so worried about jack and calvin, but i think i am seriously going to have an anxiety attack over this!
I know i am over analyzing this a bit, but i really am nervous!

Am i gunna come back to cats that hate me, or a traumatized cat? I think the worst of everything, so anyone that leaves their cats, let me know what i am in for. I don't want to be miserable on vacation because of this.
I am already "cat-proofing" the apartment to mae sure nothing can go wrong!!

I have left mine for 2 nights loads of times, they are always fine (they sulk a little when I get back but then want hugs)

We go out of town for the weekends sometimes and I just make sure everything is picked up that they can get into. My kitties know they are not allowed on the dressers, counters, table...but when we're gone.....LOL!

I just make sure no food is left out, anything that would look edible from their point of view. Anything with string, all newspapers, anything with cords is picked up, you know like my husband's Xbox controllers, that sort of thing...

I make sure their litter is sifted/changed, fresh water and food, I will also 'hide' a couple treats in like 5 different spots for them to find...we even turn the radio on low so they have 'people'. I even give them tuna the morning we leave as a treat and also to make sure they have enough to eat between that and their dry food. My 2 refuse to eat wet food. I've tried all different brands and flavors. LOL!

Your kitties will be fine. You took it a step further to have someone come in and check on them. We've never been gone more than 2 nights at a time, and my kitties are fine when we get back.

I'm sure your kitty will miss you, but will be all right...especially with your mother's loving care. Of course we all worry and miss our little friends, but all will be forgiven.

Awww, anxious parent!! At this writing, hopefully you're having a grand time, and not so worried about the furrkids. So, when you got back, how were they?
