Improvised Petfeeder

We bought an AutoPetfeeder a few months ago for $40, hoping to use it when we were gone for a couple of nights. However, the way it was designed, the cats could stick their paws up under where the little flap was and paw out kernels of food. Here is what it looked like:

So...my husband went to a hardware store and bought some PVC pipe. He use a hacksaw and a drill to put the pipes on so that it lengthens the area the food travels through so that the cats can't paw it out. We're having to raise our feeder up though, since the pipe adds a lot of length. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is how we will keep Justin from having an all you can eat buffet while we are gone!
Our petfeeder "after" pictures:

lol what a cleaver cat, and neat idea to solve the problem!
I remember when screech discovered the food in the spare bedroom. She chewed a hole in the bag and for about 3 weeks was on an all you can eat diet We thought she was starting to get podgy too!

Patent the idea! You never know. Especially with a forum like this - it could boom! Everyone here knows their cat are smarter than we give them credit for sometimes (IE timskitties and his cat - the garbage tackle team)

Excelent! You know, your Siamese could pass for Precious' twin! She also loves to eat.

Whoops, forgot to say that first picture is off of the website for Autopetfeeder...I didn't have our own "before" picture so I borrowed that one. So that's not my Siamese...my girl has lighter markings.

She's not a purebreed...we actually think she may be part Balinese (since her fur is sort of a medium length). She is a tortie point...most of her markings are kind of brownish.
