Check out the butt end. If it's got two testicle-like things, it's a boy.

unless its been nutered. Butch has no sign of them, poor lil man

You can tell by looking at his area, there is more of a gap between his bits.

This cat on the driveway? was it hiding, hurt? or just chilling? My cats chill on the other side of the road, id be horrified if someone took it.
You should put up signs saying its been found, it looks very friendly and could be someones loved pet who might have got out you never know.

Bogey still has such a pair on him, that if I didn't know better, I'd think he was intact.

You need to call the shelter and your local police...they have Animal Control. You need to report that you have found this cat.
When I lost my cat...those are the first 2 calls that I made.

I see you already have a leash on him/her....I am assuming the cat
was wearing a collar? That means she is somebodys pet.

No we had the collar from when my dog was a puppy. It was across the streets cat. we had it outside with us and he recognized it. Got out somehow at their house and ran in the garage when my parents where leaving this morning. Dad came back and opened the door and there he was. When we move we're getting a kitten/young cat that way it grows up with the dogs. I've been searching pf and Dahlilas(dog) groomer also does cat rescue on the side and brings them to the salon sometimes.

Here's a link with illustrations that will help you to know whether the kitten is male or female. I hope you get to keep her, but I would watch the paper (lost and found) and check with the shelters, vets, police, and animal control, as Dawn suggested. Someone might be heartbroken over a lost pet. Good luck!

I thought an illustration might help. Just backing up what Snowball and Zalensia said. We often do that.

you can often post a free lost and found ad in your local paper too.

But if he (or she) IS a stray, he is certainly lucky that you found him!
