What time would be good enough?

As you all know, Angie is pregnant. When she has her babies we will trap them (live trap) because we don't them to be accidently killed by the mother or by another animal. What would be an ok age? We would like to take them ASaP when they are born. Obviously not right away. Of course Angie stays. I hope I don't sound mean. I just don't want the little kittens to possibly get killed.

I wouldn't worry about the mother killing the kittens -- those are her babies, and she would probably tumble with another animal to protect them. She will probably hide her babies when they are born -- don't be surprised if you don't see her for a few days, as she will be caring for them in some hidden area.

However, if you really want her babies to be safe, you either need to bring her inside -- in a spare bedroom or somewhere she can feel safe without other animals around -- or get her to someone who can foster her while she nurses her babies.

Good luck, Catlover!

Well Hippyhart, looks like she won't need to be fostered or be in any spare bedroom! I have great news! I just talked to my friend and she said her paren't have a barn and my friend says she & her family have seen Angie in tehir barn so maybe She'll keep her kittens in their.

That would be great if she could have them somewhere secluded -- once she has her kittens, please have her spayed as soon as you can so there isn't a chance she will have another litter.

That's great news, catlover! She will definitely search out the safest-feeling place to give birth to her litter. A barn would be the perfect setting. She'll probably hide herself pretty well, so don't worry if you don't see her around for a few days. If you do find where she's given birth to the kittens, feed her near there. She won't want to leave the babies.
