None. All my kitties have been free from the streets! (Other than vet bills of course, and those do add up!)

I have two shelter kitties and splurged on a blue seal Ragoll, $600. Well worth it though if that cat were a man I'd marry him. He's perfect

None...they are all free kitties

5 1/2 of free kitties...they are the best!!!

Their original owners were terribly relieved when I took care of them.

I'm with Julia on this one - I spend enough on food, litter, vets, insurance etc without paying for them... I have been looking at some cute kitties at some local breeders - but I have to wait til we move before I get my kitten

The most I've spent acquiring a cat was just a couple of bucks for an adoption fee.

It's everything that comes after the adoption that adds up. Shots, spaying, and other vet expenses came into play right away. The cost of food has been much higher than anticipated because it wasn't until after I got my cats that I learned about proper nutrition. Litter costs are next to nothing, since I just buy the cheap stuff anyway. (The cats could care less, so why should I?)

If I were to spend money to get a cat I would get one of the large breeds such as a Maine Coon, Siberian or Norwegian Forest Cat, or get a Jungle Cat hybrid.

£50 on Vienna.
It was winter and she was the only kitten in the paper for weeks, and being the impatient person I am (incredibly) I bought her. But she did give me 6 beautiful kitten, 3 of whom I still have.
