Top Cat Tip 101

Do not leave any very crinkley plastic bags under bed for cat to play and pounce on a 5.30am

i agree with you emma, mine love to get inside the bag and slide across the floor at about 30 mph!!!!!

Also another one is don't dare let your feet escape from the duvet unless you want your toes chewed and pounced on, such a fright when you are still asleep!

Well Bronwyn kept pouncing on the bag lol then Arthur decides to get off the bed and join her

So me being a crazy cat lover just moved the bag so I could see them playing with it

Luckily mine don't seem to be too interesting in toes unless they want to kiss them

Plastic bags can be dangerous. I like to give my cats a big paper bag to play with. It's safer and lots of fun.

Since mine think there is something about the "smell" of plastic shopping bags, which DEMANDS they "pee" on the bag (I suppose to make it smell better?) I NEVER leave plastic bags laying around, any more.

I now ask for "PAPER" when I grocery shop - which, actually, these days is not even easy to acquire... mine love playing in the paper shopping bags, too - I NEVER throw one away (I have a little spot in my pantry where I fold them and save them till one is completely worn out, so I have "replacements".

Does anyone else have problems with their cats, who are normally faithful to their litter boxes pee on plastic or newspapers (like the flyers they send out, in "color newsprint" style?) OR is it just mine ???

AND... for the record - it's not exclusively ONE cat, which I thought to be the case, at first -- and it's not "just my Bengals" which someone on another list asked. ANY of my cats that find an "errant" or "escaped" plastic shopping bag, will go out of it's way to make an effort to pee on them.

So, naturally, this has made me a MUCH more efficient person, regarding putting my shopping away, and getting the bags disposed of, quickly.
