He's seriously driving me nuts!!!

Its my cat Calvin.
i got him in january at 4 months old..
This cat is so afraid of everything its making me crazy!
If the door bell rings he takes off like a maniac, when people are over hides for hours, anything!! any noise, and movement we make, and hes off..!!! Even if you walk in the same room with this cat he has to run the other way until you stop moving..
And its getting worse since we've had him..
He's even making my other two cats nervous like him..
I mean if i trip over this cat one more time because of him being nervous or whatever and running, i am gunna lose it !!!! Between my boyfriend and myself, i just dont no what else i can do..
I need to help this cat before they all become paranoid!!!

This can be solved, but I don't think it's a do-it-yourself project. I suggest you contact a feline behaviorist. Your vet or local humane society can give you a reference if you don't know of one.

Thanks Tim!
I just dont know what i can do with him... hes so affectionate, BUT... if hes on my lap and the bell rings or something, i lose a layer of skin when he goes running!!

Thanks for the idea.. i wouldnt have thought of that!

I, too, have a cat who's excessively fearful, though Mellie isn't that extreme, for which I'm thankful. Some things I've found helpful: making sure she has a refuge and access to it, spending time with her alone playing with her favorite toy, and letting her sleep with me at night.

Calvin might need desensitization, which is why I recommended a behaviorist, who can look at the whole situation, including the other cats. Or maybe medication, which a behaviorist can coordinate with your vet.

Good luck!!
