Thirsty cat

I have a habit of leaving a glass of water on my bedside table. Sometimes my cat, Mother, climbs up, sticks her head into the glass, and laps up the water. I don't really mind because I don't drink it after it's been sitting there all night anyway.

One night, I left a glass of Coke on my table instead of water. I was sleeping when this happened, but my fiance told me that Mother climbed up, stuck her head in, and lapped up some of it. There was a pause, and then she continued drinking!

I asked him if she was unusually active after that, and he said she was playing all night! Needless to say, I'm not leaving soda out anymore...

I caught my Billie cat with her head in a glass of Sangria, forget it if I leave a bowl of unfinished cereal on the nightstand.

That's funny! Yes, in our household, I say several times a day to my daughter, "Watch your milk -- don't let a cat get it," because ours love to try to get into her milk glass.
