I have decided...

..that the most difficult part of this switching to an all canned food diet; is having to listen to Etcetera, who, 30 minutes after eating her canned breakfast, is trying to convince me that she is starving because there is no dry food set out.

Anyone else have a cat that can make such a pitiful meow and that doe-eyed look that they make you feel like the worst ogre to ever wear a human skin???

Yes. I would add to that, but you said it so well.

Yes Jake He has told us repeatedly that he is perfectly comfortable with his rotund shape. He thinks it's excellent. If it wasn't he wouldn't be able to get around as well as he does. He says he has a slow metabolism and to stop starving him... He's been big all his life and accepts it - now we should.

Oh God, I know the feeling! You're trying to do what's best for them and they give you that look! And you feel like the worst person in the world. But it will pass, eventually. It took my cats several weeks to get used to not having food out all the time. They don't beg at all anymore but, boy oh boy, they let me know the second it's mealtime!
