Zoom Groom

I received one from PetSmart today (bought online) and just used it the first time on Bud. Man, the PILES of fur it removed are amazing. He seems like he doesn't like it much, but will tolerate it.

Is this thing actually removing loose fur or is it pulling out the "live" stuff?

I don't want to hurt the cats, but it sure seems to work well.

I still have to brush Gray with it and as much of a grouch as he can be, I kind of dread trying!

I LOVE the Zoom Groom! I actually just gave mine to my parents, so I need to buy another. But it's a wonderful brush! (and don't worry, it's only taking out loose hair. But FYI, all hair is dead )

Thaks for the info vanillasugar. I know all hair is dead, I should have typed "attached" instead of live. Brain fade........

My cats don't really like it either but man does it work! I have to trick them. I pretend I am using the regular brush - then when they aren't looking I zoom groom them!

Make it into a kind of a petting/scratching/attention/play session.

One suggestion if a cat doesn't like it is to modify technique. Try using short, light strokes. To the cat, that's more like getting "scratchies"
