should I or shouldnt I? AHHHHHHHHHHHH

Hello

After giving my presant cat its meds again I just realized how much he means to me! To be honest I think cats are and will always be my number one pet animal. I have a dog also but my cat is like a part of me. He was a rescue from a shelter like 10 years ago. No one brought him in someone found him and just dropped him off there, but I have to say hes been the best pet ive ever had! LOL Recently I have been thinking of getting another cat but i dont know if thats a good idea yet. Maybe I should wait a bit? My current cat has been an indoor outdoor cat for 10 years, very street smart. He has caught all the mice and rats around our house and even killed a weasel that tried to get into my bird coop! If I could find another cat like him I would get them in a second! But I am a big believer on ONLY getting what you can see yourself with for at least 15 years down the road! When it comes to cats and dogs, Once I have them they are here for life. Unlike my bird hobby (I have pigeons and chickens) I usually sell a pigeon or a chicken really easy, I do care for my birds and get sad if one is sick or injured but not the same feelings I have for my cat or dog. Birds just dont feel like family members and feel like pets. BUt cats and dogs actually feel like your kids! LOL IF i was to find the perfect cat how would I go about doing that?? From what I seee the ideal cat for me would probably be born feral? cause im looking for a cat that has some wild traits so it would be an amazing hunter. But at the same time i need a cat that is full of himself because i Currently have a very high prey drive dog and we NEED a cat that will NOt run from him. My current cat will just give him a wack if he gets in his face. But my brothers cat would RUn and dart away the dog knows to respect cats, But having the cat dart back and fourth kept on triggering his prey drive. Also I perfer a cat that is not very vocal. My brothers cat is a siamese and GOD I cant stand that noise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL I would see his cat down the hall making his way towards me and i would just RUN! Just so I Did not have to hear that moew. WHen it comes to money I can afford another cat and I do have the space for it. However all my animals here are indoor outdoor animals & I would wanna keep it that way. Anyways any advice would be great.
