Trace's do-it-yourself scratcher

I bought this thing last year sometime at Walmart for about $14.00. The other cats pay little attention to it; Turvy will brush against it occasionally, more like just on the way past it.

Trace, however, LOVES it. I found out pretty quick that, missing a leg, he has a hard time grooming and scratching the right side of his face, neck and chin. So, I set this on his bench, and he figured it out almost immediately. He lay on the base rubbing his head along the bristles for nearly a half hour this morning. He really does like for someone to scratch his face for him, but now, if I'm not around, he has an easy alternative

That is an awesome solution for Trace! I am also crazy about that cat. He looks so wise and patient. What a great face!!

Man, that little guy sure is endearing himself with catforum people!

I have one of those and all they do is use the base as a headrest for naps.

If you can't spoil a pet, there is no use in having one.
