Well...it isn't that funny...stinky is more like it, but it's funny too. Those of you with long haired cats know what I'm talking about.....The almighty Dingleberry.
I'm sitting at my computer, wondering, what is that smell. I'm looking all around. Went downstairs, thought some cat must have just finished, it'll air out. Came back upstairs.....what is that smell. Of course, thought I'd better check the cats....well, wouldn't ya know it. Poor Lewis was frantically grooming himself behind the couch....he had a HUGE dingleberry stuck on, rather all mushed in his tail. Poor guy....poor me! LOL!!!!!!! Phewwww!!! As a lot of you know, it doesn't always work to pull it off or wipe it off...wiping it makes it worse so...I just cut it off! Lewis was most grateful as he had a nap to take. So, there's my story for the day.
hahaha..totally know what you are talking about. I cut it off too....although one time it was really smooshy and all over so I put willis in the bathtub and rinsed off his bottom. He hated that!!! Willis usually does seem happy once i have removed it for him. He will let me do it and does this weird chirp thing and then he purrs after.
Velvet will kill me for telling this story, but here goes......
She had never had a DB attached to her fur, but once exited the litter box with one of my long hairs coming out of her bum. At the end of the hair was a small piece of poop. She ran a while, looked behind, and then ran again. She just couldn't figure out why this "thing" kept following her. I managed to catch up to her, kleenex in hand and grabbed the poo. Fortunately the hair was all ready pretty much out, so that came off easily. She wasn't even a year old when this happened. I am happy to say it was a first and last occasion.
Hmm, haven't heard the term Dingleberry. Have heard Bodagget. Either way, it's way too gross. I had Tiger trimmed with a Lion cut and solved that problem. He looks WAY cute as King of Beasts! I love the little tail puff. Will include some pix when I get them.

Yep just last week had the same thing happen around here except Big Tom jumped into our bed then walked across my chest....that's when I got hit with the smell...had to get up, help Tom with the db then change my sheets because of course he smashed into the sheets.
