Moggies and Muggles - Harry potter fans

Maybe someone has posted about this before but I was just contemplating the 2 terms and thinking how similar they were in spelling and meaning. Moggies being a non-purebred and a Muggle being a Non-wizard. When I first heard people talking about Moggies on here that is what it had make me think of.

I've wondered that too. Moggie is a UK term (at least I think it is!) So it would make sense that JK Rowling (from the UK) might use something similar in her books to indicate mixed blood.
