problems after spaying (anyone know)?

Today I had my 7 month old female cat spayed.. she stayed at the vet all day. I also have a 5 year old male cat at home and they are genuinely loving towards each other and love to bathe each other and play. Well, after female kitty came home from surgery.. I was sure male kitty would love on her and make her feel better. Quite the contrary.. he has hissed at her and been mean to her all evening. Plus she has vomited once. Why is she vomiting and why is mister kitty being so mean to her?

Anesthesia can cause stomach upset. Which is just temporary. If she vomits again tomorrow, get in touch with your vet (if they're open Saturday.)

It's not unusual for a cat that's been to the vet to be met with hostility by the other cats when they first get home. It's probably because they smell different. This should settle out in a couple days at most.
