Soft claw?

I was trimming Korbel's nails last night and one of the claws seemed really short compared to the others. Upon closer inspection it seemed really soft-not hard and sharp like a normal claw. It doesn't seem to bother her at all. The only thing I can think of is that she must have snagged the nail and pulled off the sheath at some point.....
Any ideas?

I don't really know, but I'd think if it's not bleeding, then it's OK and it'll grow back. But if somebody else knows for sure, please educate me.
