Hi, i'm new here, i just bought biospot flea & tick control drops of farnam Pet Products -do you have any comments on this product?

Bio-Spot contains pyrethrin as one of the active ingredients. This chemical has gotten a bad reputation as being toxic to cats and dogs if the dosage is inappropriate. There are other products that are less risky. I'd suggest avoiding flea products that contain pyrethrin.

Thanks for your reply - so far it seems like it's worked however I will check with my vet whether other products could be purchased from her directly!

Biospot

I've tried several things and the one that works the best for me is Advantage. If there is a huge flea problem, you can get CapStar from your vet. It's a tiny pill. After administering it, within about 1/2 hour the fleas drop off. However, it's not a longterm solution. Using Advantage with the CapStar keeps the fleas under control. That and vacuuming and spraying the house. I got a flea spray (Mycodex) from my vet. The cats can re-enter the sprayed room after an hour.

Biospot didn't do a thing for me. I had to use Advantage.
