Keeping my in-door cat IN_DOORS!

i have a 5 year old and i have done my best to keep him in-side after my old cat "Tig" was murdered about 6 years ago. after i got my two boys i told my mom and dad (they live with them while i am away at school) that i dont want them out side for said reason above. but one of my boys just wont stay inside. i have done everything, he wont leave a collar on, yelling at him does nothing, punishing does nothing, and i am at the end of my rope. i need help i DON'T want him going out side. i just cant take losing another cat that way.. so any information would be great......

what I have done...

i really dont know what you mean...... all i hav edone is tried to show them (i have two but only one wants out) that they should not go out side the best way i can. but they live with my mom and dad right now and i am trying to help them from 6 hours away. so anything you can tell me that can help would be great. since we have dog (3 of them) the doors are open when they are coming in and out. and since the are social cats its not like i can lock them up. so help! lol!
