Advise for training cat to self-clean

Hi all,

I would really appreciate some advise on how to train my 8 month old cat, how to self-clean. Meaning, how to clean after itself after it goes to the bathroom. It has somewhat of longish hair around the area, and it's difficult to continuously clean it after each episode. Any feedback would be very appreciated.

PS If anyone is curious about the breed, it's a Kurilian Bobtail

Welcome!! Bummer, no tips on how to help him/her? how to self-clean. However, in the meantime, a sanitary shave to keep his/her back end short may make you happier so there aren't any dingalings or smears left.

Good luck, hope to hear more of your kitty and see pics!

I would recommend shaving the backside too. This happens to my kitties from time to time and I always try to help them get the mess off cause frankly I wouldn't want to have to clean myself off back there with my tongue either.
