brushing his teeth

I have decided to start brushing twinkie's teeth. He gets a bit freaked out when I try to put the brush in his mouth. any tips on how to get him used to a daily brushing routine?

My cats would never let me brush their teeth. The vet has me
using a Q tip soaked with C.E.T. oral hygene rinse rubbing
along the gum line twice weekly.

I have four kitties and I brush their teeth on a regular basis. I use CET Poultry flavored paste -- they hate me when I brush their teeth but man do they love that taste!

What I do is wrap them in a towel and sit them on my lap (I have one leg folded over the other) facing the side away from my leg that is propped up, more towards me. I put the toothbrush with the paste near their mouth and let them smell it and lick it a they're like, ah, yummy...hehe. Then I put my hand over the top of their head and pull up the sides of their mouth and brush.

He'll fight you at first, but after a bit he'll get used to it. I bet he'll never really LIKE it (my cats don't) but he'll tolerate it.

The CET rinse and gel is also really good.
