Thanks!
It's amazing how they make any money - they've been doing this awhile and I've got several free bags from them!

Same here

Their kitten food is pretty amazing. I have several empty jugs so I can "refill" them. I consider their kitten food to be the same quality as Nutro Natural Choice Adult Food.

I'll have to look if I can get this offer in Canada... free food for the strays

Edit: nope, looks like it's US only.

Thanks!

I don't (and won't) feed it to my animals, but I'll still take advantage of some free food that I can donate to the local shelters.

There are plenty of good causes for donating pet food. Petco has a donation bin from the Helen Woodward organization in which they collect donations of both dog and cat food for the pets of homebound elderly and disabled who are not able to leave their homes to buy food for their pets but rely on their pets as a source of companionship and happiness. In this way Helen Woodward makes it possible for these people to keep their pets, that helps the owners and it helps the animals too because they get to keep their homes as well. So less animals having to be relinquished to shelters because their owners are too elderly or sick to care for them. Instead they get help from caring volunteers. Sometimes I like to go into Petco and buy some Nutro cat and dog food and just drop it in the bin. And if I have any cat food that I decide not to feed my cats or if my cats decide they don't like it, I drop that in the bin as well.

Great idea! I won't use it, but I can definitely donate it to the shelter
