Cat collar

What kind of collars are out there that my cats can't tear up? Last time I bought them collars they ended up frayed from all the scratching they were doing. I gave up on making them wear them after that, but I know they really need them. Has anyone else out there had the same problem, and what kind of collars did you get them? Your feedback is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have 4 cats all with different types of collars. The only one I had a problem with fraying and falling apart was a beastie band collar. Other than that all mine have held up OK.

What types of collars are they? If you don't remember, where did you get them? Mine were from the grocery store, can't recall what brand. They were labeled for small dogs, which I thought should be fine, as long as they were the proper size, which they were. They're not made any different are they?
