I'm so mad!

My great little local pet store is closing. There's a PetCo a couple of blocks away and it's put them out of business. Grrr! Now I'll have to go much farther to get their food since @#!$Co doesn't carry it.
You would think in a city like LA there would be room for more small independent shops.

You have beautiful cats. What do you feed them?

Are you sure there are no other choices? Even in a tiny town like College Station pet groomers often carry premium foods and there are always feed stores to check out.

How do you know they are closing because they are being forced out of business? The owner could be retiring, moving, or divorcing.

I was mad once because a candle shop was closing and I thought Hobby Lobby had put them out of business. Turns out the owner was retiring and taking a long vacation around the country

Hm, CD, something to think about. I'd have to figure out where they went wrong though, and for the life of me I can't. It was a great little shop.

Hey, Shengmei, I know it was because of PetCo cause I talked to the owner yesterday and that's what she said. They just couldn't compete with their prices. And even though they carry better foods it wasn't enough to make up for the losses in other supplies.
I will be shopping at another place it's just much less convenient. This one was right on my rocery etc route. Oh well.

Just use their model, and start out on a smaller scale, with the best selling stuff to begin with,

maybe just a dream, but thats where some good things get started.
